Guests can fly to Queenstown Airport. We will met you at the airport and transport you back to the Lodge. You may want to consider arriving the day prior to your first hunt to allow time to freshen up, get over jet lag, and relax and prepared for your hunt.

At Argyle we offer more than just a hunting experience. Our modern and well maintained Argyle Lodge / Ranch house will provide all the comforts and conveniences you could possibly need in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.
The Argyle Station has been farmed since 1904. It is one of the largest privately owned sheep, cattle and deer farming properties in New Zealand.

The property is situated in the headwaters of the Waikaia River Valley, a tributary of the World famous Brown Trout Fishery the Mataura River.

Argyle Station continues with its long history of producing high quality red stags roaming in the large magnificent scenic Free Range area called the Umbrella Range Wilderness Area and now specialises in World Class Trophy Red Stags in the Game Park. The station has undergone huge development in the last five years. This development leads to improved feed conditions, which has continued to improve and enhance the stags trophy potential.

At Argyle we offer more than just a hunting experience. Our modern and well maintained Argyle Lodge / Ranch house will provide all the comforts and conveniences you could possibly need in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The Lodge is set on river flats looking towards the Umbrella Range. We offer cuisine to meet the most discerning palate while catering to the needs of clients where at all possible. We also serve the finest local New Zealand wines.
We also have two smaller camps on the Umbrella Range Wilderness Area of Argyle where hunters may stay for a night or two if they would like to take part in an outback New Zealand experience.
The Waikaia area is on the doorstep of many scenic and interesting areas, which you can visit. One or two of the most popular places to visit, include Queenstown, the Adventure Capital of New Zealand and the South Pacific, Historic Arrowtown, Glenorchy, Dunedin, the Edinburgh of the South, Wanaka, Te Anau, Manapouri and especially the sheer natural beauty of Milford Sound.
We specialize in visits to centres for excellent shopping, refined dining, and visit wineries, or to just relax in a café and soak up the atmosphere and ambiance of the scenic beauty.
