We have checked out and found some of the web sites you might like to peruse, which may help you choose some of the places you‘d like to visit, and some of the things that you might like experience while you are in the Southern part of New Zealand.

If you visit the following web sites, you will get a taste of what you can do and see in this resort town. This does not preclude things like shopping, visiting the large botanical gardens, walks or other activities you have already heard about . Kingston is a small village on Lake Wakatipu (30 minutes drive at the foot of the lake) Boutique Bed and breakfast

Glenorchy small village on Lake Wakatipu (45 minutes drive at the head of the lake)


Central Otago (this is a very good site to look at most towns in Central Otago” fruit bowl of New Zealand”)

Milford Sound/ Doubtful Sound
This can take one to two days if you want to visit Milford and Doubtful Sound (which would include a stay over)
