Transport

We will meet you at Queenstown airport when you arrive and drive you back to Argyle Station, or if you are staying in a hotel we will arrange for you to be picked up from the hotel. You need to ensure you have passed arrival and pick up details have been passed on before your arrival. We can arrange a helicopter to bring you to the Lodge, but there is an additional charge for this. The drive time to the Lodge can vary depending on the direction taken. It is however a pleasant trip with beautiful scenery - a great introduction to our countryside.

GuestS should be aware that often in autumn we have quite dense fog and occasionally some of the Airports throughout New Zealand can be closed for part or all of the day. We ask clients who are delayed by fog or weather to email us from the airport you are in, to let us know. If we are at the airport to pick you up and you are delayed we will check our email to find out what is happening.

We will meet you at the airport and drive you back to Argyle Station.  We can arrange a helicopter to bring you to the Lodge, but there is an additional charge for this.  Depending on which airport you land in (Queenstown, Dunedin or Invercargill) the drive time can vary.  It is however a pleasant trip with beautiful scenery - a great introduction to our countryside.

Transport within the area is by Polaris ATV or double cab utility trucks, then walking. There is an extensive network of internal roading and tracking which makes travel and recovery of animals a breeze. In addition, we can access one of the station’s helicopters if and when needed.

If you or your non-hunting partner have activities booked that require transport away from the property we can accommodate you in these circumstances also.
